CasePrimus.ai documentation
Learn how CasePrimus.ai monitors Indian courts for the companies and people you work with, and how to connect that data to your own systems with a REST API and webhooks.

Watchlist guide
Add a company or person and get alerted on new court cases across India.
Authentication
Create an API key and make your first authenticated call.
Webhooks
Receive alerts in your own system, signed and retried automatically.
Rate limits & errors
How requests are counted, and every error code the API returns.
Quickstart
From nothing to your first monitored company in three steps.
1. Create an API key
Open the Developer console in your dashboard and create a key. Copy the secret when it is shown; it is shown once. See Authentication.
2. Add a company to your watchlist
From this moment CasePrimus.ai checks Indian courts for it every day.
Add entityBASE="https://api.caseprimus.ai/api/caseprimus/v1" curl -X POST "$BASE/watchlist/entities" \ -H "X-CasePrimus-Api-Key: $CASEPRIMUS_API_KEY" \ -H "Content-Type: application/json" \ -d '{ "name": "Acme Traders Pvt Ltd", "entityType": "BUSINESS", "monitoredCourts": [ "ALL" ], "fetchHistoricalCases": false }'
const BASE = "https://api.caseprimus.ai/api/caseprimus/v1"; const res = await fetch(BASE + "/watchlist/entities", { method: "POST", headers: { "Content-Type": "application/json", "X-CasePrimus-Api-Key": process.env.CASEPRIMUS_API_KEY, }, body: JSON.stringify({ "name": "Acme Traders Pvt Ltd", "entityType": "BUSINESS", "monitoredCourts": [ "ALL" ], "fetchHistoricalCases": false }), }); const data = await res.json();
import os import requests BASE = "https://api.caseprimus.ai/api/caseprimus/v1" res = requests.request( "POST", BASE + "/watchlist/entities", headers={"X-CasePrimus-Api-Key": os.environ["CASEPRIMUS_API_KEY"]}, json={ "name": "Acme Traders Pvt Ltd", "entityType": "BUSINESS", "monitoredCourts": ["ALL"], "fetchHistoricalCases": False, }, ) data = res.json()
3. Get alerts where you work
Create a webhook in the Developer console and choose from 13 events. New cases, hearing changes and risk-level moves then arrive at your endpoint as signed JSON. See Webhooks.
API reference
26 endpoints in three areas, listed on the API reference overview. Every page has the request fields, example requests in cURL, Node.js and Python, and the possible responses. You can also download the OpenAPI spec.
Watchlist
Add the companies and people you want monitored, review the court cases discovered for them, and manage the cases being tracked.
13 endpoints
Live Case Lookup
Look up a single case on demand by its case number or CNR, download its orders, and generate an AI summary. No watchlist entry needed.
7 endpoints
Historical Search
Search a company's court-case history without adding it to a watchlist. Results come back in pages of 100.

Frequently asked questions
What is the CasePrimus.ai API?
A REST API that gives your own systems access to the same data as the CasePrimus.ai dashboard: the companies and people on your watchlist, the court cases found for them, AI summaries, and on-demand case lookups and historical searches. Requests and responses are JSON.
How do I authenticate?
Create an API key in the Developer console of your CasePrimus.ai dashboard and send it in the X-CasePrimus-Api-Key header. Requests can optionally be signed and encrypted for extra protection.
Can I get notified instead of polling the API?
Yes. Webhooks push events such as new cases, hearing changes and risk-level moves to an HTTPS endpoint you control, signed so you can verify them.
Is there a rate limit?
By default 300 requests per minute per account, counted across all your keys, unless your plan says otherwise. Calls that fetch live court data count as 10, and bulk imports as 50.
Need API access?
Bring a few of the Indian customers, vendors or partners you work with. We'll set you up with a key and show you what monitoring surfaces in your first week.
